BELGRADE, PRIŠTINA -- Details of yesterday’s airport encounter between Boris Tadić and Agim Ceku have emerged.

The Serbian president and the Kosovo prime minister briefly met at the Skopje airport yesterday, when their respective flights to Belgrade and Priština were cancelled due to poor weather conditions. UNMIK chief Joachim Ruecker was also stranded at Petrovac during the same period of time.

Beta agency reports that after exchanging greetings, Tadić, hearing that Ceku was returning from the United States, said, “You visit various countries in order to secure independence, while we do the same to prevent you”.

“It would be better for you too, to get rid of the problem”, Blic daily reports Ceku as answering.

“Well, you’re not a problem for us”, Tadić reacted.

Ceku then said: “When you have a problem, cut it off”.

“You talk like a soldier, meanwhile I talk like a psychologist”, Tadić answered, referring to their respective professional training.
